The Final Paranormal Activity – Ghost Dimension:
Greg Plotkin’s Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, in theaters October 23, 2015, will be the final film in the franchise. The finale will finally reveal “Toby”, and bring everything full circle by answering all of our questions from the entire franchise.
For the first time ever it appears that the filmmakers aren’t holding anything back. The trailer is jam-packed with frights, and teases all sorts of insanity that could finally pay off. I’m dying to get some resolution with the coven of witches, and even more curious to see what the “ghost dimension” looks like, as well as how they integrate 3-D into a found-footage movie.
“Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, directed by Gregory Plotkin, follows a new family, the Fleeges — father Ryan (Chris J. Murray), mother Emily (Brit Shaw) and their young daughter Leila (Ivy George) — who move into a house and discover a video camera and a box of tapes in the garage.
“When they look through the camera’s lens, they begin to see the paranormal activity happening around them — including the re-emergence of young Kristi and Katie!”
Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies
“Oh, a nice period piece and love story.” Not really.. as the story quickly becomes a bloody mess.
Whether or not the final movie can deliver on that, we’ll have to wait and see.
After years of false starts and casting rumors, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies finally comes to theaters February 5. Based on the Seth Grahame-Smith book, which itself is a parody of Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice, the film stars Lily James (Cinderella, Downton Abbey) as a martial arts and weapons expert who must find love in a 19th century England filled with zombies. She’s joined by Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Bella Heathcote, Douglas Booth, Lena Headey and Matt Smith.
The trailer, which is for the UK release, certainly has the look and gore you’d expect from this adaptation. It’s got some great actors and lots of promise.
~ Disney is planning a full-length live-action movie based on a sequence from the studio’s classic 1940 film Fantasia, EW has confirmed, creating a story inspired by the “Night on Bald Mountain” segment.
The new story will be written and produced by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, whose collaborations include 2014’s “Dracula Untold” and “Gods of Egypt”, which is scheduled for an April 2016 release.
The Disney project will expand on a dark, 10-minute fantasy sequence —which frankly, if you’re under a certain age, is downright creepy—that features a yellow eyed, winged creature named Chernabog who summons a set of mysterious spirits who fly over a town and frolic in a cave as dawn rises on a rolling landscape.
Featuring music from Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky, the sequence is last of eight musical segments in the classic animated flick.
Check out the scary sequence–starring Chernabog, the evil demon lord of Bald Mountain:
News of the project, first mentioned in the Hollywood Reporter, follows a slew of announcements regarding live-action reboots of classic Disney films. The studio is planning a Tim Burton-directed Dumbo remake,
a Peter Pan spinoff film starring Reese Witherspoon as Tinker Bell,
and a retelling of the China-set Mulan.
There are a few more adaptations already on Disney’s upcoming release schedule: Johnny Depp in “Alice Through the Looking Glass” planned for 2016.
Which will hopefully be a lot better than the first, personally I expected a lot from an Alice in Wonderland/Tim Burton movie.
Jon Favreau’s “Jungle Book”
Which looks pretty impressive, of course with the cgi and technology of today it better look amazing, but check it out:
(starring Scarlett Johansson, Bill Murray, Lupita Nyong’o, and Christopher Walken) will also hit theaters sometime next year, while the Emma Watson led “Beauty and the Beast”
has been set for 2017… In other words Disney, as usual, will be making unfathomable amounts of money over the next few years. And don’t forget they own the Marvel Comic$ Movie$
and $tar War$ Movie$
Best… Trailer… Ever… Or worst…
