2002 graduate from the Colorado Institute of Art, Clarkson had the goal of making a living as a graphic artist in the music industry.
He was hired as the head graphic designer for a prominent record label in Los Angeles shortly thereafter, embracing a vibrantly hyper realistic digital photo-manipulation technique.

Inspired by the ever-changing L.A. art scene and wanting to branch out from mainly working digital, he started drawing like he used to as a kid, but mixed with the feelings and dark emotions he has dealt with in life since then.

In ’05 he was invited to be in a showcase with a few other artists at Thinkspace in Los Angeles, where he seized the opportunity to begin showing this new direction away from digital into the ‘new’ style.
He’s since been showcased in the U.S. at places like DvA Gallery, Gallery 1988, Cannibal Flower, Copro/Nason, and was also featured in the ‘Intersections’ show at the Cypress College in spring of ’08.

@AntClarkson continues to grow, and his paintings have evolved into more intense expressions of dark thoughts and emotion.

He has sold pieces for thousands of dollars, achieving and surpassing his goals of making a living as a digital artist.
